I love serum products. Among all the skincare lines that I've tried, it's only with serums that I did not experience any skin irritation.
I have oily skin and I am prone to breakouts so I am sensitive to almost all types of moisturizers and facial creams. So much so that I have a hard time finding a suitable skincare product.
Until I settled with serums. Turns out to be a blessing. According to most dermatologists, including Dr. Vicki Belo, the newest fad in skincare is really serum. Moisturizers and creams are bygones.
This is because serums can be absorbed by the skin easily, and unlike moisturizers and creams, serums won't sap the natural moisture of our skin.
What are serums?
According to Dr. Joshua Zeichner, board-certified dermatologist and director of cosmetic and clinical research at Mount Sinai Hospital's department of dermatology: "Serums are skin care products that are designed to deliver high concentrations of specific active ingredients to the skin"
"A serum is able to hydrate more effectively than even the heaviest creams. The molecules are able to truly penetrate the skin and hydrate on the deepest level, while the heavier creams sit on those top layers. Hydrating serums do not necessarily replace your moisturizer, but can boost the hydrating effects of your moisturizer,” said celebrity esthetician Karee Hays.

Serums contain topical antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E. They also contain topical retinol and ingredients that even out skin tone. Serums target wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin blemishes, so they are the best remedies for dry and worn-out skin.
The serum has a beautiful watery consistency and is absorbed into the skin easily. It doesn’t give any greasy feeling, it brings a soft glow effect to the skin with regular use.
"Anti-aging serums help turn back the hands of time and slow down the aging process by delivering essential anti-aging ingredients to combat fine lines and wrinkles," said Dr. Debra Jaliman, author of the book "Skin Rules: Trade Secrets From a Top New York Dermatologist."
Anti-aging serums are beneficial for all skin types, not just mature skin, and you can start using them as early as your 20s.
So after searching for the most effective facial serums (other brands did not work for my skin), I gave Pond's Bright Triple Glow a try, a month ago.
This product line switch is not difficult for me because, for almost a year, I was using Pond's Age Miracle Night Cream and a serum burst cream.
Pond's Bright Triple Glow Facial Serum
This product is the latest skin-perfecting formulation from Pond's skincare. It delivers brightness, smoothness, and hydration that you can’t achieve with a normal POND'S cream!
Been using this serum for a month now and it delivers a promising result to my skin |
Brand claims:
- Brightens, smoothens, and hydrates the skin for Triple Action Glow.
- Highly concentrated brightening serum harnesses the power of 3 superstar skincare ingredients for a triple-action glow.
- Brightening Gluta-Boost-C contains glutathione, an antioxidant that effectively fades dark spots and brightens skin 60X better than Vitamin C
- Pore-minimizing Niacinamide creates a refined skin texture that looks smooth and glowing.
- Hydrating hyaluronic acid draws in moisture from the air and gives you the dewy look of deeply hydrated skin. Hyaluronic acid helps skin stretch and reduces skin wrinkles and lines.

My personal experience using this product:
True enough! This product delivers great results and not just empty promises. My skin achieved a natural glow and radiance after a month of daily use.
Luckily, I did not experience any skin irritation or breakouts with Pond's Bright Triple Glow Serum. I love its smooth texture - not watery, not too sticky.
But contrary to its claim that users can see the effect within seven days. It took a month before I saw the visible result. And in fairness, it's a quick turn around.
Pond's Bright Triple Glow Serum has a Gluta Boost, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide, which power skin with glowing effects and a real youthful radiance.
It has a non-greasy formula. I did not feel any discomfort in my skin, even after applying it during day time. It also did not leave any residue or heaviness feeling, unlike creams or moisturizers.
Unlike other serums, Pond's Bright Triple Glow Serum has a milky texture. The vitamin C derivative used is 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid which is a stable form that smoothens dry skin, making it plump, youthful, and supple.
No sugar-coating, but it is really effective! After a month of continued use (day and night), it does give me radiant facial skin and a visible glow on both my cheeks.
For fine lines, I guess it softens the visible lines below my eyes. I could also feel the tightening of my skin on both sides of my eyes and cheeks.
Pond's Bright Triple Glow Serum also reduces the pimple marks around my chin and nose. The micro-peeling effect is non-irritating, it just smoothens up the texture of my skin.
I am using a jade roller on my skin before each application, I guess it's a powerful combination to hasten the effect of this product.
Pond's Bright Triple Glow Serum per bottle (30g) is worth Php489.00 in the market. It comes with a dropper. And good for two months of use.
This is worth a try!
